picnic-ing

last week our library held a "teddy bear picnic" at the park.  it was so fun, mostly because all of our friends were there, too.  there were friends, fiddlers, a giant teddy bear and a parachute to play with.
mateo's friend brought homemade yogurt-popsicles.  can you tell how happy he was to have one?  i really want to find some popsicle molds for this summer.

luke took some time off of researching and teaching summer school to come with us.

we brought fruit and vegetables for mateo and ruby to eat.  and we brought spicy thai take-out for us!

the librarians walked around the park with books and took turns reading stories to each group.  we love these community events!  mateo is already asking about next year's picnic.

  1. Cute! I love that story, and have a sing-along version done by Jerry Garcia that I'd use to teach with when I lived in Mexico! The picnic looks like so much fun!!
